Smart Green Program for Manufacturers

The SMART Program encourages investments in technology and improved manufacturing processes. Learn how small and medium sized manufacturers can reduce their green house gas emissions and receive up to 50% non-repayable grants. This includes incentives for upgrading your processing equipment and enhancing its energy efficiency.

Green Building Study Tour: The Bill Fisch Centre

The Bill Fisch Forest Stewardship and Education Centre was constructed to progress York Region's commitment to sustainability and being global leaders in forest management. With a goal of achieving The Living Building Challenge - the world's most prestigeous performance standard for green buildings, it maintains net-zero energy use and net-zero water use. The Centre has achieved LEED platinum and Petal certification since its construction.
