Insulation

Windfall Ecology Centre is committed to reducing energy consumption as much as possible. During the beginning stages of the renovations, Windfall performed an energy audit on the house in order to determine what efficiency measures would be most effective. Insulation was one of the main areas that needed to be addressed.

The Sheppard House has been insulated with R50 of blown cellulose in the attic and a Soya based Spray Foam on the attic floor, in the sidewalls, crawl space and gaps in the basement walls significantly increasing both the comfort level and efficiency of the building.
