Windfall Ecology Centre’s REpower program Future Fund recipient

The REpower program, which aims to educate participants and assist them in securing their future in a green economy, received a Future Fund grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation worth nearly $539,000 over three years.

Executive Director of Windfall Ecology Centre, Brent Kopperson explains that the REpower program is “designed for people making a career transition. It is a two-week program to help participants understand what the green economy is, what the opportunities are and allow them to develop personal next steps.”

The money will directly support the initiation of the program, and supports the organization’s hopes that REpower participants will walk away ready to pursue bigger and better things in the new green sector, be it employment, self-employment, further training or an apprenticeship.
